Abstract Root Pendants
I have been making abstract root pendants from silver sheet, for over a decade now. They are absolutely one of my favourite items to create.
The ‘root’ image can represent whatever the wearer sees in it. I think of nature, family, tradition and growth. More literally, they may resemble coral, branches, trees or plant roots. Each are completely unique. They are made by piercing silver sheet and cutting out each pattern with a jewellers’ saw blade, which isn’t much thicker than dental floss.
Extremely comfortable to wear, most of my clients wear them day and night. They hang from a fine Italian sterling silver rope chain, a very elegant way to set off this one of a kind work. With a 16” chain, root pendants sit high on most necklines. 18″ and 20″ chains available on request.
Each work is made slightly different each time, these images represent the size and general pattern you will receive and not the exact piece.
